Buric's Larry R. Carr Wins at Green Building Expo

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Buric’s Larry R. Carr recently led a team that took second place in a national sustainable design competition.
Carr, a project analyst at Buric, led a team of student architects from Cape Fear Community College that competed in November at the U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo.
The team took second place in the competition. It was the only community-college team in the country that qualified to participate.
Carr, who earned his associate’s of arts degree in architectural technology from Cape Fear Community College, also led a team that won first place in March in the North Carolina State Sustainable Building Design Competition.
Working in Buric’s Building Diagnostic Services, Carr creates demonstrative two- and three-dimensional graphics, also known as Building Information Modeling (BIM), to ensure model accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. He also conducts field activities and building investigations, compiles and maintains field data, and compiles and organizes electronic reference libraries.
Carr works in Buric’s Wilmington, N.C., branch office. Buric is headquartered outside Cleveland in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and has a third branch location in Somerville, N.J.
