Buric expert to speak at condo construction seminar
Seminar will examine stucco, concrete and other ‘hot topics’ in construction defect litigation

RALEIGH– An expert from Buric, the premier consultant to

frequently cited in construction defect litigation – including stucco,
fiber cement shingles and concrete – during a professional education
seminar Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Ronald E. Wright, P.E., will present at “Condominium Construction
Issues in North Carolina,” a seminar for attorneys, real estate
professionals, construction industry executives, engineers and architects.
Sponsored by Lorman Education Services, the seminar is intended to help
industry professionals avoid common mistakes in condominium construction.
It will take place at the Holiday Inn Raleigh North at 2805 Highwoods
Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
As chief operating officer at Buric and head of the firm’s building
diagnostic services division, Wright is one of the country’s leading
experts on building diagnostic issues, including understanding sources
of water intrusion, evaluating design and construction deficiencies, and
defining and managing corrective efforts. Wright’s work has been
featured on “The CBS Evening News with Dan Rather” and he
has testified as an expert witness in more than 100 litigation cases.
An industry veteran of 28 years, Wright holds a bachelor’s of science
degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.
A registered professional engineer in six states, Wright is a member of
the American Society for Testing and Materials, the International Code
Council, the American Society of Civil Engineers and Professional Engineers
of North Carolina. Wright works in Buric’s Wilmington, N.C., office.
