Project
The project was a multi-phased, $60-million addition and alteration to the existing New Hanover Regional Medical Center campus centered around a 10 story tower. It included the construction of a new community cancer facility, renovations for a new pediatrics unit, construction of a new concourse along the front of the hospital, and a major alteration to the emergency department.

Services
Buric was retained after the project’s conclusion to analyze project events and documents and present expert opinions in litigation matters involving the architect, the owner and three prime contractors (general trades, mechanical, plumbing). Buric’s services included analysis of project issues and their impact on costs and schedule, and analysis of alleged building problems and the proposed repairs.
