The 89th Street Garage and Service Center at Cleveland Clinic represents the largest and most sophisticated health-care material handling and order fulfillment system in the United States.

This 227,000-square-foot facility boasts an underground service center topped by an eight-story, 4,100-car parking garage and an attached 12,000-square-foot single-story information technology office.

SERVICES

This project was designed at the same time it was constructed – with construction proceeding faster than design. Buric was tasked with keeping the project on track.

Buric established the project’s master baseline Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule, which was resource-loaded for manpower and major quantities. Buric also incorporated all of Cleveland Clinic’s vendors into the resource-loaded CPM schedule, which was critical because 89th Street serves as the backbone for supplies and operations throughout the campus. Buric also conducted a performance trending analysis for each of the respective major trades’ manpower and schedule executions.

Applying schedule analytics throughout, Buric maintained project accountability and apportioned responsibilities – ensuring that material and vendor performance met the demands of other construction projects on campus.

Buric provided the tools to allow Cleveland Clinic to finish the project on time, on budget and without major safety issues or litigation.
