Project

Originally built as a Detroit city high school in the 19th Century, Old Main Hall became the foundation for Wayne State University, a school of over 30,000 students. Renovation of three of the existing buildings originally constructed in 1896 and 1907, included the new construction of an adjacent six-story classroom building. The construction work was performed in phases by a general contractor, and coordinated between the various buildings.

SERVICES

Buric’s services include presentation of expert opinions at the arbitration on the validity of the Owner’s schedule impact analysis. Analysis includes assessment of the delay analysis techniques, applications of studies in impact analysis, change order impact, entitlement and quantification of disruption and delays. Project impacts included numerous design changes, differing site conditions, partial/early owner occupancy, performance of extra work, acceleration, delays, disruptions and losses in labor productivity.
